Each year, Inventionland® Education hosts the National Invention Contest to spotlight student creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. Open to schools using our applied STEM inventing curriculum, the contest guides students through a hands-on, 9-step inventing process—the same one used at Inventionland’s world-famous headquarters.

The 2023 Inventionland Education Invention Contest, held on May 16-18, 2023, at the world headquarters of Inventionland in Pittsburgh, was an exciting event that showcased the innovative spirit of elementary, middle, and high school students. The competition brought together young minds from different schools to present their unique inventions and compete for the top prizes in each category to a panel of leading industry professionals.

Inventionland Education, at the forefront of STEM Innovation Labs® in K12 schools, recently received an Outstanding Project Award and national recognition for its work at Berkshire Local Schools in Ohio by Learning By Design magazine. Learning By Design Magazine’s Spring 2023 Educational Facilities Awards Showcase recognized Inventionland Education’s STEM Innovation Labs® and maker spaces at Berkshire Local Schools as a benchmark for next-generation immersive learning spaces.
