Few moments in education are as gratifying as seeing students engage with their coursework and make tangible impacts on the world of innovation. Such is the case for Mia Mertz and Madison Mulato, two former eighth-grade students from Grove City Middle School in Pennsylvania.

In today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving world, soft skills are often left behind. While academic knowledge is essential, developing soft skills is equally crucial, especially in K-12 education. Inventionland Education, a leading provider of STEM education solutions, recently had the opportunity to attend a briefing for Capitol Hill staffers during the Challenges in STEM Teaching event on May 24th, 2023. This event, organized by the STEM Education Coalition, aimed to shed light on the recruitment, retention, and professional life challenges the STEM teacher workforce faces.

The 2023 Inventionland Education Invention Contest, held on May 16-18, 2023, at the world headquarters of Inventionland in Pittsburgh, was an exciting event that showcased the innovative spirit of elementary, middle, and high school students. The competition brought together young minds from different schools to present their unique inventions and compete for the top prizes in each category to a panel of leading industry professionals.
